The internet went into meltdown this week after a photo of a shaved husky dog was posted to Twitter.

But while many thought the bizarre photo was hilarious, other people vented their anger about the working dog’s coat being shaved.

‘This permanently destroys their coat and causes it to no longer function how it should,’ one person commented.

But others were quick to point out that the treatment might have been necessary.

‘Sometimes there are medical reasons that a coat has to be shaved,’ one user said.

But there is yet to be an explanation from the husky’s owner about the unusual photo.
