Perth robber accidentally pepper sprays himself in bungled burglary

Karma worked quickly for these two!
WA Police

What would have no doubt been a terrifying moment turned comical when a robber pepper-sprayed himself attempting to hold up a pharmacy in Perth last Thursday.

Two young men allegedly snatched several items from the Shoalwater business before running through the carpark.

The pharmacist made chase only to be threatened by pepper spray and a knife when he caught up with them. The clueless robber was holding the canister the wrong way, however, and instead unloaded the stinging mist right into his own face. It’s claimed his knife-wielding accomplice managed to cut himself as well.

They are described as 18 to 21 years of age, fair-skinned and of medium build. They were both wearing black pants and black hooded jumpers with dark grey sleeves.

If you have any information call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
