Photos that will shock readers around the world have emerged of a three-year old South Australian girl appearing to smoke a ‘bong’.

The Advertiser reports that her 13-year-old sister was apparently helping her.

It is thought the 13-year-old has been placed in care and the three-year-old is not believed to be at any further direct risk.

Police will be conducting a welfare check.
