A man evicted for failing to pay rent in a Queensland share-house has been given jail time after he copied his former flatmate’s sex tapes, posted them to YouTube, and sent the link to her landlord.

44-year-old Paul Lindsay Dever, who works as a car-washer, found photos and videos of his flatmate performing private sex acts and copied them before publishing them online according to Police.

The Caloundra Magistrates Court, in Queensland, heard that the victim felt ‘dirty and embarrassed’ by Mr Dever’s actions.

The court also heard that Mr Dever had sent a photo of his penis to a woman advertising a room on classifieds website, Gumtree, who became distressed that he knew her personal details and address.

Mr Dever has been sentenced to prison time totalling 18 months for distributing prohibited visual material and using a carriage service to menace, harass, or cause offence.
