JonBenét’s brother speaks: The truth about that night

He's the only family member that hasn’t spoken out

JonBenet’s brother is the only family member that hasn’t spoken to the media about the death of his sister, until now.

In an exclusive three-part interview with Dr. Phil, 29-year-old Burke Ramsey will reveal what he knows about the case.

According to the Daily Mail Dr Phil asks a now-29-year-old Burke: ‘Has it ever occurred to you that your parents actually thought you did this and didn’t ask you because they didn’t want to know?’

Burke replies: ‘I know people think I did it; that my parents did it. I know that we were suspects.’

‘This is my final interview. I have no reason for speaking to the media again.’

Burke remembers the night his mother realised JonBenet was missing. ‘I remember my mom searching my room that night saying, ‘Where’s my baby? Where’s my baby?’ Burke said.

It’s been twenty years since that night, and Burke says he wants to mark the anniversary of his sister’s death by telling people what he knows.

‘I want to honor her memory by doing this interview. I don’t want anyone to forget,’ he said.

But this will be his last.

‘This is my final interview. I have no reason for speaking to the media again,’ he adds.

JonBenét was found murdered in her parent’s basement on December 26, 1996.

Burke was originally considered a suspect, but was exonerated by DNA evidence in May of 1999.

The three-part interview with Dr. Phil will start airing September 12.
