Hilary Duff has come under fire after posting a photo kissing her four-year-old son on the lips.
The US singer and actress shared a photo on her Instagram page after taking son, Luca, to Disneyland.
But despite receiving over 250,000 likes from her followers, others were quick to slam the actress for the innocent image.
‘You should not kiss your son like that,’ one outraged user commented. ‘It’s confusing for him.’
But the 29-year-old star’s fans were quick to jump to her defence, posting messages of support.
‘Beautiful pic,’ one follower said. ‘My son is 4 and I kiss him on the lips every day.’
‘Keep giving your baby boy all the kisses in the world,’ said another.
Duff was quick to respond, posting another image shortly afterwards.
‘For anyone commenting that a kiss on the lips with my four-year-old was inappropriate, go ahead and click a quick unfollow,’ she wrote.
