A student gunman has opened fire on a school in Crimea, killing 19 and wounding over 50 others.
The 18-year-old pulled out a shotgun and opened fire at the vocational school Kerch Polytechnic College in Crimea, eastern Europe, on Wednesday.
Described as a ‘shy loner’, Vladislav Roslyakov was seen walking around and shooting teachers in cold blood, news.com.au reports.
The fourth-year student then turned the gun on himself in the library and died at the scene.
The gunman’s mother, a nurse, was unknowingly treating her son’s shooting victims at a local hospital for some time.
She was then taken away by detectives for questioning.
The death toll stands at 19, with 53 wounded and 12 in a serious condition.
It is one of the most violent gun attacks against students in Russian history.
