A deaf contestant on reality TV show, America’s Got Talent, has gone global after an incredible performance left both the audience and judging panel in tears.
Mandy Harvey, 29, lost her hearing when she was 18 due to a connective tissue disorder, but she didn’t let that stop her performing her original song, Try.
Judge Simon Cowell, usually known for his harsh critiques, called Ms Harvey’s performance ‘one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen’.
Communicating with the help of an interpreter, Ms Harvey said she performed without her shoes on so she could feel the tempo and the beat through the floor.
After the performance, Simon Cowell hit the Golden Buzzer, which send Ms Harvey straight through to the live finals.
