A US trade court has officially ruled that the controversial Snuggie is – just as they say – a ‘blanket with sleeves’.
In an effort to squeeze more import tax out of the Snuggie, the US Justice Department attempted to convince a US trade court that the Snuggie is clothing – with wide sleeves like a priests robe.
People who import clothes have to pay higher tax than people who import things like blankets.
The court said that the Snuggie is definitely just a blanket with sleeves – which is all it ever said it was!
Now if we can only get people to settle on spork vs splayd!
