An 18-month-old toddler has tragically been killed after his father accidentally ran over him in Victoria.
The boy was playing in the front yard of his family home in Waubra when he was struck.
“The dad was in the yard with his young fella today. The dad was in his car and it appears the young bloke was in the shed,” Ballarat Sergeant Nield told the Ballarat Courier.
He explained: “He [has] wandered out of the shed and been struck. It’s a tragic accident. It’s tough on everyone, the family and emergency services.”
An air ambulance flew to the scene from Melbourne, but the boy died before they reached him.
