Reaching for her lunch, a Queensland school girl was in for a rude shock.
She wanted a snack, but instead she found a red belly black snake lurking in her school bag.
According to The Courier Mail, the student only realised the venomous snake was there when it slithered over her hand.
Thankfully, a staff member zipped the intruder inside the bag and waited for a snake catcher to remove the 2-foot beauty.
A photograph was shared to Facebook and commenters quickly realised that the mascot for the Slytherin house from the Harry Potter series had stowed away in a Gryffindor bag.
