Eventually, Ms Lloyd managed to retrieve the package by using an extendible mop. And luckily the jacket inside wasn’t damaged after being thrown on the roof.
Facebook users were quick to comment on how the parcel could ‘accidentally’ end up on a roof.
‘Why on earth would anyone throw a parcel on the roof? And then write it was accidental?’ one person wrote.
‘Accidentally???’ another simply said,
A spokesperson for Australia Post told news.com.au, ‘We have investigated what has happened in this case and are reach out to the customer as part of that process.
‘This behaviour is unacceptable, and we will be taking disciplinary action.’
