A woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her cat to death.
It’s believed the 19-year-old woman stabbed the animal 20 times, before throwing it off a second-floor balcony in Sydney.
Yahoo News reported that police were called to a unit in Dee Why, Northern Sydney, at 8.20am yesterday (23 October) where they found a dead cat.
Taken to a vet, it was determined the cat had been stabbed a brutal 20 times.
A woman was arrested and charged with torturing, beating and causing the death of an animal, and committing an act of aggravated cruelty on an animal.
She was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for assessment and refused bail.
The woman will appear at Manly Local Court.
A second cat was taken from the unit and is being cared for by the RSCPA.
