It's believed Jordan was snorkelling off the island when her parents saw the sharks swimming towards her. Despite their screamed warnings, Jordan didn't get away in time and three sharks attacked her.
Suffering devastating injuries, her arm was torn off and she suffered bites to her left arm, both legs and buttocks. Although she was rushed to hospital in Nassau, Jordan later died from her injuries.
'We already miss her so much. She was so caring. She loved all animals. It's ironic she would die getting attacked by a shark,' said Jordan's father Michael Lindsey in a statement to NBC.
Jordan body will now go through an autopsy in Nassau before being flown to California where she'll be laid to rest.
The last time a person was killed by a shark in Bahamas was in 2010.
