A nutty twist on the bakery favourite!
- 2 cups plain flour
- 2 tsp caster sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 300ml cream
- ½ cup crunchy peanut butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Peanut butter icing
Whisk together ½ cup icing sugar, 1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of milk in a bowl until smooth.
Preheat over to 180°C (160°C fan forced).
Sift together the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add cream and stir to create a dough. If the dough is dry, add 1-2 tsp of water.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 30 sec. Roll into a 20 x 30cm rectangle.
Spread dough with crunchy peanut butter, sprinkle with brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll up and cut into 8 slices. Place onto a lined tray and bake for 25-30 min. Cool buns and spread tops with Peanut Butter Icing
