A man who broke into and robbed a house has left police with the perfect DNA sample when he made use of the bathroom and didn’t flush.
Detective Tim Lohman of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office says the suspect ‘did his business and didn’t flush it’ which enabled them to match his DNA to a potential suspect already in their system.
Shortly after, Andrew David Jenson was a arrested on suspicion of burglary which Lohman says is the first time fecal evidence as been used to identify a suspect.
Jenson’s bail was set at $180,000.
