An Australian woman is aiming to walk 100km in memory of her twin who lost her life to cancer.
Donna Ditchfield, 45, from Coonamble, is walking in memory of her sister Catherine, who passed away in December 2015 from pancreatic cancer.
Following her heartbreaking loss, Donna decided to channel her energies into raising money to fight cancer.
During her trek, which is part of Cancer Council NSW's The March Charge challenge, she is also remembering other family and friends who died from the disease.
Donna, who has walked every day this month, said: 'On the first day I walked for Catherine. She had pancreatic cancer, the same cancer that took my nan.'
Donna's aim is to raise at least $1,971 for Cancer Council NSW. She chose that amount because she and Catherine were born in 1971.
'I asked people who had sponsored me if they wanted me to walk for someone they love that has battled cancer, too,' Donna added. 'It makes the walk more special for me.'
