Paedophile Brett David Hill abducted an 11-year-old girl as she walked to school in Adamstown Heights, NSW, and subjected her to a sickening five-hour attack.

He grabbed the child around the throat as she walked from her grandparents’ home to school before driving her to three separate locations during the ordeal in June 2018.

Last December Judge Roy Ellis jailed Hill for a maximum of 23 years and six months and a minimum of 17 years at Newcastle District Court, meaning the 49-year-old will be eligible for parole when he’s 64.

Hill, a father of three, and his lawyers have since filed a notice of his intention to appeal his sentence over its severity, reports the Newcastle Herald.

They have six months to submit the appeal before NSW Supreme Court will decide whether or not the sentence was too harsh.

Hill pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated sexual assault with a victim under the age of 16 ahead a trial that was set for October last year.

The traumatized girl, who has been left too scared to even walk her dog, bravely addressed Hill as she delivered her victim impact statement in court.

I am scared somebody is going to take me and do it all over again. My world is not safe. I can never forgive you,’ she told him.

Hill claimed he had been under the influence of synthetic cannabis on the day of the attack.
