One of the most exciting parts of being a new parent is handpicking a unique name that will stay with your little one for life.
However some mums and dads in New Zealand appear to have a particularly unusual taste in baby names.
According to New Zealand’s Department of Internal Affairs, a total off 66 potential names were rejected in 2018.
Some were regal titles and strange misspellings – while one baby narrowly avoided being named after a Roman numeral.
Three babies were almost named after Kim Kardashian’s son Saint, too.
Out of 60,000 births in New Zealand each year, only less than 1 per cent of babies needed their names to be personally assessed by a registrar-general, the New Zealand Herald reports.
