In a video posted on YouTube, a worker for the Hope for Paws foundation is responding to the news that a Staffy has been seen bleeding and scared, alone in the street.
The man in the video finds the poor pup and tries to reach for her, but she shuffles as far away as she can, seeking refuge underneath a car.
Climbing down with her, the man reassured the Staffy with pats and waits for her to relax.
Gently slipping a leash around her neck, he coaxes her out from under the car and she snuggles into his lap.
After a few minutes she lifts her head and gently licks her rescuer, who returns the affection with a gentle smooch on her cheek.
The poor dog has bleeding sores low on her belly, which the video explains are ruptured mammary tumours which occur when dogs aren't spayed.
Named Leesa, the adorable black and white Staffy is taken to the vet where her tumours are removed and she is patched up and placed in foster care.
Her transformation is nothing short of miraculous!
