Mum, Alicia Zeek, and dad, Zac Smith, of Pennsylvania said they felt the image was a ‘blessing’.
‘When I seen it, it almost brought tears to my eyes. I was speechless, I just couldn't believe it,’ said Zac.
‘This is distinct — I mean, there's another face looking at my daughter!’
Alicia told Fox she was stunned: ‘I blinked a lot, to kinda make sure I was really seeing it…’
The parents told Fox that they found the image comforting after their first two children were born with complications.
The couple’s first daughter was born with two thumbs on one hand, and their son was born with a cleft lip and palette. The traumatic delivery saw Alicia and her son almost not survive.
‘Once [the sonographer] said everything is good and we looked at the picture, I was like-- look babe, we have nothing to worry about,’ said Zac.
Baby Briella did have a drama-free pregnancy and birth, and mum and bub are said to be “healthy and doing well.”
