A 35-year-old woman has allegedly gone into cardiac arrest after a deadly incident at a Sydney beauty clinic.
According to police reports, it is believed that the woman was undertaking a breast procedure that involved a filler injection.
Police said the incident occurred around 3 pm, Wednesday when paramedics rushed to treat the woman for the shocking turn of events at The Medi Beauty clinic in Chippendale. Struggling to breathe, she was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital to undergo treatment.
Jie Shao, a 33-year-old woman has been charged for using poison to endanger a life and reckless bodily harm.
A court heard Ms. Shao’s case according to the ABC and refused bail after it was learned that she was not a licensed practitioner within Australia.
Magistrate Sharon Freund denied the request saying: ‘In my view it’s a very strong prosecution case and in the event that she’s convicted… I’m of the view that she will receive a custodial sentence.”
