Shocking footage has emerged of the heart-stopping moment a woman wandered onto the tracks at a busy Melbourne station moments before the train arrived.
In footage obtained by 7 News, the woman can be seen wandering towards the edge of the platform at Parliament Station seemingly unaware that she is approaching a sheer drop to the track below.
Stunned onlookers rushed to help the woman while another desperately waved at the approaching driver to stop.
With moments to spare, other commuters pulled the shocked woman to safety.
