A woman has died at Perisher resort in the NSW Snowy Mountains in what’s being described as a ‘terrible accident’.
NSW police have confirmed that they were called to the Perisher ski resort at about 10.40am on Thursday. The woman died at the scene after suffering what they called a ‘medical episode’ while skiing.
The ski resort released a statement saying it was saddened by the tragic death of a female skier.
‘The Perisher community is very upset by this terrible accident and we extend our heartfelt condolences to the lady’s family and friends,’ the statement read.
Some reports say the woman may have crashed into rocks after suffering the medical episode.
