A South Australian woman, 29, has been charged after a video emerged online showing an 11-year-old smoking a bong.
In the video the Whyalla woman’s voice can be heard off screen, while the boy smokes from the pipe.
Superintendent Andrew Thiele has described the use if cannabis as ‘not accepted or acceptable at any level by South Australia Police, particularly when it involves children.’
‘We would ask the community to bear in mind the clear correlation between drug misuse and the negative impact on community safety, increasing levels of crime and the health and wellbeing of individual community members.’
The woman will face Whyalla Magistrates Court in October charged with two counts of supplying a controlled substance to a child.
