Nikol Barabasova
22-year-old Nikol Barabasova started a Facebook Live video while in the passenger seat of her friend’s car.
The young women can be heard giggling as the camera shows them driving along a highway in the Czech Republic.
Moments later, the car starts shuddering and Nikol’s expression changes.
The harrowing footage then shows Nikol being thrust forward before the car flips and eventually comes to a stop.
The phone falls underneath a car seat, but the video continues live streaming.
According to The Sun, emergency services found the phone and turned off the Facebook Live some 20 minutes later.
Local reports say Nikol died in the crash, while her friend who was driving is being treated in hospital for severe head injuries.
People have taken to Facebook to share their condolences for Nikol’s family, with thousands of messages and memories being posted.
The Daily Mail says police have launched an investigation into the crash.
