Wife of ‘millionaire’ posing as struggling single mum wants LEGAL AID as she appeals her sentence for welfare fraud

Outrageous

The mother-of-two with ‘millionaire’ husband who lived in government housing since 1991 requests legal aid to appeal her fraud convictions.

Rebecca Khodragha told the District Court that she had hit a financial crisis, and required legal aid in order to mount her appeal against her three-month home detention.

Ms Khodragha and her husband Khaled were revealed to in fact own two other properties – a unit in Lakemba and a house in Greenacre – despite living in housing commission for 18 years while her husband’s business raked in ‘millions’.

Housing NSW report there are around 60,000 Australians currently seeking public housing.

‘They’re not just cheating the taxpayer, they’re cheating people in need,’ spokesperson Paul Vevers told 7 News.
