After a three-year campaign, dads Shaun and Blue Douglas-Galley have won their fight to legalise same-sex adoption in South Australia.
The legislation was passed recently in South Australia’s Upper House, following the couple’s Change.org petition, which received 27,787 signatures.
Together for 14 years, Shaun and Blue adopted their little boys Joshua and Dylan in the UK.
Deciding to move to South Australia three years ago, the pair was saddened to realise that gay couples were excluded from adopting in the state.
In a statement on Change.org, the proud dads penned a letter to their sons.
