Study reveals your dog is probably into Bob Marley

Fascinating insight into our pooch’s music tastes.

New research from the Scottish SPCA and University of Glasgow suggests that not only are dogs music fans, but they have their own music tastes.

Working with a number of dogs in an adoption centre in Scotland, the researchers saw that when the dogs were played different kinds of music their behaviour changed for the better.

When music was playing the dogs were likely to lay down, and their heart rates slow down. Suggesting music therapy could be used decrease their stress levels.

The most interesting observation was that by and large, the dogs preferred to listen to reggae and soft rock!

The result? Doggies in Scottish SPCA centres will have puppy-approved playlists in their kennels to help keep our furry friends happy.
