A U.S. father has taken his son’s life after treating him to Disneyland visit.
Police found Aramazd Andressian Sr, unconscious in an abandoned BMW covered in petrol after the disappearance of his five-year-old son, Piqui.
Piqui was first reported missing by his mother and ex-wife, Ana who contacted police after his father did not drop him home after his trip to Disneyland.
When the 35-year-old father woke up in hospital, he had no memory of what had happened and claimed he was attacked.
He said in a statement: ‘I was at the park with my son, and then I found myself waking up in Huntington Memorial Hospital hours later’
‘My family and I are heartbroken and grief-stricken that Aramazd Jr (Piqui) is missing and may be in harm’s way.’
Police were suspicious of his involvement in his son’s disappearance after showing lack of grief and questioned him but later let him go due to lack of evidence.
But things changed after police brought him in for questioning again and eventually Aramazd revealed where they could find his son’s body.
After discovering the young boy’s body near a lake, they suspected his dad killed him just hours after their Disneyland trip.
It is believed the father murdered his son to get revenge on his ex-wife over their divorce.
Ana, who works as school principal originally expressed concerns over Aramazd’s custody visits previously.
