She recently welcomed a new addition to the family – in the form of an adorable new dog.
But Schapelle Corby took to Instagram on Wednesday to share some much more serious news.
‘My younger brother James @jameskisina had a training accident. Scary stuff. Backflip gone wrong,’ a clearly worried Schapelle wrote.
‘He lost focus for a second. Spinal Trauma Injury. HE WILL RECOVER in time. Give thanks. Appreciate.
‘This ia a few days after the accident so can smile again,’ she wrote – referring to a picture of herself that she posted with a clearly injured James.
‘Your life as you know it can change in a second,’ Schapelle added, before giving thanks to the paramedics, doctors and nurses who helped care for her brother.
‘Love you brother,’ she signed off.
The terrifying health scare came just a week after Schapelle had introduced her 194,000 Instagram followers to Lucille – her new ‘Foxy x Maltese’ pooch
‘She looks like a little old man, but is only almost 3 months old,’ Schapelle captioned a picture of her holding the adorable black and white dog.
‘Welcome to the Family,’ Schapelle concluded her post. ‘#shegoingtobeacharacter.’
The happy news delighted Schapelle’s fans on social media.
‘How gorgeous and puppy cuddles just rock,’ one commenter wrote.
‘Canines really are the best companions. They give their hearts unconditionally,’ another wrote.
