Police have launched a manhunt for a gunman who attempted to rob a Bunnings in Sydney’s southwest this morning.
The man reportedly threatened staff and fired shots into the Prestons store before fleeing the scene.
According to reports the man escaped in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer on Hoxton Park Road.
Police are investigating whether the incident is linked to two other armed hold-ups at service stations in Eastern Creek and Kemps Creek last night.

The suspect is described as ‘caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, and wearing dark-coloured jeans and a long-sleeved white shirt.’
No one was injured in the alleged attempted robbery.
