Police are appealing to the public for information.

A P-plate driver reportedly failed a preliminary roadside breath test after crashing his car in WA with two children in the back.

Police are appealing to the public for information regarding the accident, which occurred Bindoon in WA on Monday morning, 7News reports.

The 32-year-old was driving a purple Daihatsu Charade at around 9 am on the Great Northern Highway when it crossed onto the other side of the road, crashing into a tree and rolling.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries. Luckily, the three-year-old girl and two-year-old boy travelling in the back of the car escaped unharmed.

Police are reportedly investigating whether alcohol played a factor in the accident.

Gingin Police, who responded to the crash, tweeted an image of the car on Twitter.

‘Take care on the roads – this could have been much worse,’ they said.
