Authorities including Missing Persons Squad detectives and cadaver dogs are searching rural properties northwest of Melbourne.
While police wouldn’t comment on what led them to the area, they said Toolern Vale and Gisborne South remained the focus of their inquiries.
‘We have performed quite an extensive search of this area,’ Detective Inspector Stephen Dennis, from the Missing Persons Squad, said.
‘We are looking for anything that can assist us with our investigation. We’ll be here for as long as it takes to search the area. We’re not ruling anything in or ruling anything out.’
‘We are confident we will find out what happened.’
