2016 has been a huge year for music with nearly every top artist releasing a record selling album.
Despite this, the artist who came top of the pile in this year’s list of best-sellling CDs hasn’t released anything new for… centuries!
That’s because the top-selling CD of 2016 was – Mozart 225: The New Complete Edition.
According to Billboard, the box set released to celebrate the 225th anniversary of the classical composer’s death has blown all other records out of the water.
Maybe in 225 years Beyoncé’s Lemonade will still be topping the charts?
