The Colorado Springs Police Department are calling for any information regarding a mystery woman they’ve dubbed, ‘The Mad Pooper’.
The Budde Family, a suburban family from Springs, Colorado, have spent weeks trying to find the mystery woman who continues to defecate outside their home during a morning jog.
Cathy Budde says her children caught the woman first, while in mid squat, pants down and unashamed of her actions.
Talking to KKTV, Cathy recalled: ‘They are like, ‘There’s a lady taking a poop!’ So I come outside, and I’m like…’Are you serious? Are you really taking a poop right here in front of my kids?’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, sorry!”
Budde estimates the runner leaves behind human waste at least once a week, and claims the woman has been doing it for at least seven weeks.
Speaking to the US Television station, Budde can’t help but laugh when recounting the situation, ‘Two other times we’ve caught her – caught her yesterday – she changed up her time a little bit because she knew I was watching.’
The family also say they cannot figure out the woman’s motives, as there are plenty of public restrooms in the area.
Sgt. Jonathan Sharketti of the Colorado Springs Police Department has said, ‘It’s abnormal, it’s not something I’ve seen in my career. For someone to repeatedly do such a thing…it’s unchartered territory for me.’
Officers asked Budde to provide photos of the woman to help identify her, which have now gone viral across social media.
The runner is facing charges of indecent exposure and public defecation.
