A 32-year-old mum is off to jail for 21 months after police made the grizzly discovery of her baby’s skeleton stuffed in a laundry bag in the garden shed for over a decade.

Police were searching the home investigating the death of Gayle’s daughter, Ava, 2, who died last year.

Court prosecutors revealed the details of the discovery to Kingston Crown Court, while mother Victoria Gayle listened on, showing ‘no trace of emotion’ according to the Mirror.

‘In the garden shed, officers found a cardboard box wrapped in a black bin liner.

‘Inside the box was a laundry bag containing an object wrapped entirely in grey adhesive tape.

‘The tape was cut. Inside was the decomposed remains of a human child.

‘That baby had been fully dressed in corduroy trousers and a jumper. It also had one leg entirely bandaged from foot to hip.’

The child, Kyzer, is thought to have been around 14 months old at the time of his death, however autopsies have been unable to determine the cause.

Gayle’s internet searches in the week’s leading up to to discovery apparently included ‘sulphuric acid’.

The boy hadn’t been seen for 4 years, with Gayle switching her story saying at one time Kyzer had been living with his father and then saying he had died in his cot.

She allegedly kept his body among junk in her own spare room until her eviction, when Kyzer’s body was moved to Gayle’s mother’s garden shed.

Judge Susan Tipping, while handing down the sentence, said:

‘Your little boy was denied a decent burial.

‘A web of lies began in 2014 and went on to every authority that tried to find out what had happened to him.

‘The full truth of his sad and short life will never be known.’

She was sent down for preventing a lawful burial, and was also charged with perjury and perverting the course of justice.
