Police have confirmed that the body a woman who plunged to her death with her young daughter is Coniston woman Tanja Ludwig.
The 33-year-old woman and her two-year-old daughter were found at the bottom of Robertson Lookout, NSW, just before 2pm on Tuesday, after police responded to concerns for their welfare.
Their bodies were retrieved by rescue teams on Tuesday evening and it’s being investigated as a suspected murder-suicide.
In her final public Facebook post on December 17, 2018, Tanja appealed for anyone who was going through a hard time to seek help.
‘It’s ok not to be ok. We all need support sometimes,’ she wrote, before posting links to crisis helplines.
Wollongong police commander Chief Superintendent Chris Craner told the Daily Telegraph that the incident was ‘devastating’ for everyone involved.
‘It’s going to be devastating for the family and my thoughts are also with the emergency services who have turned up here today to this horrific incident.’
