Meghan Markle reportedly sent a letter to her estranged father ‘begging’ him to stop victimising her in the media.
Shortly after her royal wedding to Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex offered an olive branch to her dad Thomas Markle Sr, reports claim.
Five anonymous friends of Meghan told People Magazine the Duchess was left ‘hurt’ after his no-show at the wedding, and pleaded with him to stop communicating through headlines.
‘Dad, I’m so heartbroken. I love you. I have one father. Please stop victimising me through the media so we can repair our relationship,’ Meghan reportedly wrote.
According to her friends, Mr Markle responded to the letter requesting a photo shoot with Meghan.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and her father split when the royal was only a two-year-old.
Tensions between Meghan and her half-sister Samantha have also been revealed, with Samantha often sharing scathing indictments of the royal through the media.
‘Fast way forward to Meghan dating Harry, and now Samantha is going by the last name Markle [after long using the name Grant]’ a friend said.
‘And then she began this career capitalising on Meg. Everyone who knows Meg knows that the two of them have no relationship.’
