Police have arrested a man in Georgia, US for allegedly verbally attacking his wife after she made him a toastie with too much cheese.
According to Athens-Clarke Country Police, Michele De Paola’s husband, James, was apparently so enraged at the extra slice of cheese on his toasted sandwich that he decided to confront his wife. The altercation then became so heated he allegedly spat in her face.
Their eldest daughter eventually managed to call the police who then reported to the scene.
According to New York’s Daily News, Michele De Paola’s husband had a history of violence toward his family and had spent time in jail before.
He was charged with obstruction of a 911 call and criminal trespass/damage to property.
