A plucky little girl has made headlines after visiting Pope Francis in Rome and then snatching his hat!
Estrella Westrick was visiting the Italian capital with her parents and godfather. While her mum was resting at the hotel dad, Scott, took her to try and meet the Pope after his public address.
Luckily they got face to face, and the Pope even leant in to kiss Estrella on the cheek when the speedy tot reached up and snatched his skullcap!
The video was captured by her godfather and posted to Twitter.
Pope Francis cracks up immediately when he realises Estrella’s grabbed his skullcap – called a zuchetto in Italian – and takes it back with a big grin on his face. His press officer later told CBS that Pope Francis loves unscripted moments, and wants people to see him as a regular guy.
Scott laughed it off and said his daughter was a very independent girl: ‘She does what she wants!’
