A Victorian man has shared a video of the moment he made friends with a koala who showed up at his home in Apollo bay.
Bruce Atkinson told ABC News that the koala was covered in prickles and appeared a bit distraught.
After an unsuccessful attempt to give the Aussie native a drink, Atkinson armed himself with a glove and hair brush to help remove the prickles from the koala’s fur.
‘Within seconds it decided ‘this is alright, I’ll have more of this,’ Atkinson said.
He added that he managed to remove most of the prickles before collecting some gum leaves for his furry friend, which hung around his house for the rest of the day.
