French town floods with red wine as protesters smash vats

Thousands of litres of French red wine have flooded the streets of Sète, a town in the south of France known for exporting the famed french drop.

According to French television station, France 3, the militant group Region Action Committee of Winemakers have claimed responsibility saying they are never listened to.

The protests come in response to rising number of cheaper, imported wines in French shops.

For us wine lovers, streets flooded with Shiraz looks like a problem you wouldn’t mind having!
