Firefighter Josh’s heartwarming proposal
Firey Josh Gow came up with a unique way to pop the question to his partner Bernice Agius.
When the roller doors went up at Llandilo Rural Fire Service station, Bernice was shocked to find the trucks draped in fairy lights.
There was a heart made from petals in the forecourt, but it took her a while to spot the ‘Will you marry me Bernice?’ sign on the public noticeboard.
Luckily, Josh was already down on one knee.
The couple met when Bernice was working behind the counter at Maccas two and half years ago and served Josh a meal.
Josh, then 18, went back and ordered a small fries so he could slip Bernice, then 19, his number.
Sparks flew, and the happy couple are now parents to eight-month-old Alyrah.
