Snake catcher Cory Young says it is one of the weirdest jobs he’s been called out to, and warned eastern brown snakes were one of the most venomous snakes in the world.

“It’s definitely not what you want first thing in the morning,” he said.

Mr Young said the mother had almost finished packing the lunchbox when the baby brown reared its tiny head.

“She just watched it for us until we got there,” Mr Young said.

“That way you know exactly where it’s been and best chance for us to come and get him.”

Mr Young said he was inundated with snake calls, averaging between 50 to 60 a day.
