A young dad has tragically lost his life in an accident at work.
Nathaniel Beesley, 32, from the Sunshine Coast, fell to his death as he worked at Savage River mine in Tasmania.
He leaves behind his wife Katie, and two young sons, just months after the family moved from England to Australia.
Nathaniel was a United Kingdom Royal Marine and took on the mine work to provide for his young family while he waited for his transfer to the Australian Army.
A friend of the family, Josephine Gladwin set up a GoFundMe to support Nathaniel’s young family financially, during this tragic time.
Overnight, the campaign has already raised $14,106 of the $20,000 goal, with over one thousand shares.
