In Gardner, Kansas, park rangers were excited to set up their new motion-sensor cameras, hoping to snare a photo of the nocturnal mountain lion.
Designed to take a photo when they detect movement, the cameras picked up all sorts of things including coyotes and skunks. What rangers didn’t expect to see were people wearing gorilla suits, others dressed as lions, and even someone playing Santa Claus.
While the pranksters haven’t come forward, the rangers found it quite amusing and certainly a welcome distraction from their lonely hunt for the mountain lion – which is yet to be captured on their cameras.
