The mum of a 16-year-old boy who was brutally beaten by gatecrashers at a party in Sydney is pleading for help to find his attackers and bring them to justice.
When a group of uninvited guests crashed a house party in Matraville, eastern Sydney, the 16-year-old was punched in the face and then had his head stomped on. He had three teeth knocked out, and was rushed to hospital.
Speaking to 7 News, the boy’s mother said she arrived at the hospital to a terrifying scene: ‘I rushed to the hospital and saw him from the distance with tubes all over him. I thought he was never going to wake up.’
A police spokesperson told media that the gatecrashers arrived at 10:30pm, and also attacked a 59-year-old and a 32-year-old man at the party.
Investigations are ongoing, and police have spoken to witnesses but arrests are yet to be made.
Inspector Aaron Wundealich, of Eastern Beaches Police, described the assault as ‘cowardly, very vicious and certainly unacceptable within our community.’
