It is believed the video may be critical in proving the 22-year-old South Australian woman’s innocence after she was caught with 5.8kg of cocaine smuggled inside her suitcase at El Dorado International airport on April 12.
Sainsbury maintains that she was set up by the man, known only as Angelo, who hid the drugs inside 18 boxes of headphones that she purchased as gifts for her upcoming wedding.
Although authorities initially dismissed her claims, News Corp report that local police are now investigating her story, claiming Angelo could hold vital keys in their investigation.
This comes as the former personal trainer’s family prepares to arrive in Bogota to visit her where she remains behind bars ina Colombian prison.
Sainsbury is currently awaiting a court date and has issued a plea for freedom.
