- 1 cup brown sugar
- 50g butter, chopped
- ¼ cup thickened cream
- 1 small orange, sliced
- 8 small pears, peeled and cored
Place brown sugar, butter and cream into a large, wide saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar completely dissolves.
Increase heat to medium and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 min. Add orange slices and pears. Cook for a further 10 min, turning often, or until pears are tender. Transfer to a serving dish. Serve pears with sauce, orange slices, and dollops of cream.
